How Energy-Based Treatments Work
Every device in this category delivers energy into the skin in a controlled way, and the type of energy determines what it treats. Lasers use a specific wavelength of light that's absorbed by a target, such as pigment, blood vessels or the water in skin cells. That's why one laser removes hair and another resurfaces skin. Radiofrequency and ultrasound devices heat the deeper layers instead, which prompts your body to produce new collagen and gradually tightens the area over a few months. Body contouring devices use cold or heat to break down fat cells, which your body then clears on its own.
Most device treatments need a series of sessions, and results build over time rather than appearing all at once.

Laser and Device Treatments at Swãe
Each treatment below is built around a specific device and a specific concern. Some are quick appointments with no downtime, and others involve a few days of recovery in exchange for a bigger change. Look through the options to find the one that fits what you're hoping to treat. Every service page covers how the device works, what the treatment feels like, how many sessions to expect and how to care for your skin afterward.

XERF Skin Tightening
Skin tightening uses radiofrequency or ultrasound energy to heat the deeper layers of skin, prompting your body to build new collagen. Over the following months, skin along the jawline, neck, eyes and body becomes firmer and more lifted.

XERF Body Contouring
XERF Body Contouring uses advanced radiofrequency technology to help tighten loose skin, stimulate collagen production, and improve skin firmness without surgery or significant downtime. Treatments are customized to your body's needs and goals.

Skin Resurfacing
Skin resurfacing removes damaged outer layers of skin and stimulates new growth underneath. It's one of the most effective treatments for sun damage, deeper lines, acne scarring and rough texture, with results that last for years.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal uses targeted light to disable hair follicles at the root, reducing growth permanently over a series of sessions. It's a long-term alternative to shaving, waxing and the irritation that comes with both.

Vein Removal
Vein removal treats the small red, blue or purple veins that show through the skin on the legs and face. Using laser or injection-based treatment, the vein is closed off and gradually absorbed by the body, leaving clearer skin.
Why Patients Choose Swãe for Laser and Device Treatments
The device matters, and so does the person operating it. Settings that are too aggressive can burn or scar, while settings that are too cautious waste your money. Our providers are trained on each system we use and adjust every treatment to your skin type, your concern and how your skin has responded before.
Devices chosen for a reason
We don't collect machines. Each device at Swãe was selected because it does its particular job well, and we'll explain why we're recommending one over another.
Settings matched to your skin
Skin tone, thickness and sensitivity all change how energy is absorbed. We test and adjust rather than using a default setting.
Realistic expectations
Device treatments rarely deliver dramatic results after one session. We'll tell you how many visits you're likely to need and what change is reasonable to expect.
Any Questions?
Do laser treatments hurt?
Most feel like a warm snap or a heating sensation, and many devices have built-in cooling. For more intense treatments, we apply numbing cream beforehand.
Are lasers safe for all skin tones?
Some are and some aren't, which is why device selection matters. We have options suited to darker skin tones and will choose accordingly.
How many sessions will I need?
Hair removal typically needs six to eight sessions, while resurfacing and tightening treatments often need three to five. Your provider will give you a clearer estimate at your consultation.
What's the downtime?
It ranges from none at all to about a week, depending on the treatment. Hair removal and tightening have little to no downtime, while deeper resurfacing can leave your skin red and peeling for several days.
Can I have a laser treatment if I've been in the sun?
Not right away. Tanned skin absorbs more energy and raises the risk of burns, so we ask you to avoid sun exposure for a couple of weeks before and after treatment.
How long do results last?
Hair removal and vein treatment results are long-lasting, though occasional touch-ups may be needed. Resurfacing and tightening results last one to several years depending on how your skin ages.
