Fourteen Years, Four Specialties

The Teacher Who Became a Clinician

Lauren is a Physician Assistant with 14 years of clinical experience and a career that has covered more ground than most in aesthetics. She has practiced Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, Critical Care at Stanford, and Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics in both Boston and Los Angeles. Her work has included cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, full facial assessments and a wide range of aesthetic treatments.

Before medicine, Lauren taught high school. That background never really left her, and it explains a lot about how she practices. She believes understanding the reasoning behind a treatment is an important part of great aesthetic care, so she takes time to explain what she is recommending and why rather than simply presenting options.

Outside the clinic, she has completed two triathlons, including an Ironman 70.3 in Puerto Rico, along with the LA Marathon.

What Lauren Focuses On

Balance, Proportion and Restraint

Lauren focuses on subtle facial rejuvenation through neuromodulators. Her work is guided by balance, proportion and a strong understanding of anatomy, with the aim of helping patients look refreshed while still looking like themselves.

  • Neuromodulators including Botox® and Dysport® for subtle facial rejuvenation
  • Treatment planned around how each patient's face actually moves
  • Full facial assessment informed by cosmetic and reconstructive surgical experience
From the ER to Aesthetics

A Career Spent Reading Anatomy

Lauren has practiced as a Physician Assistant for 14 years, with clinical training and experience spanning Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, Critical Care at Stanford, and Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics in Boston and Los Angeles.

Her surgical experience covers both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, which informs how she approaches facial assessment and injectable placement. That multidisciplinary background is unusual in a medspa setting and gives her a clinical perspective that extends well beyond aesthetics alone.

Where Lauren Excels

Signature Treatments

Lauren's approach to injectables is mindful and individualized, combining a strong understanding of anatomy with a multidisciplinary clinical perspective. Patients come to her for results that read as rested rather than treated, and for the explanation that comes with them. Her goal for every visit is that a patient leaves feeling confident, informed and empowered.

Injectables

Injectables soften lines, restore lost volume and adjust facial proportions without surgery. At Swãe, every injectable appointment begins with a consultation so you understand the options before anything is done.
